We would like to inform you of the status of the Michinoku Coastal Trail (as of August 14, 2024) regarding Typhoon No. 5, which recently crossed the Tohoku region on August 12, 2024.

We are currently in the process of confirming the condition of the trail after the typhoon passed through.
Please exercise extreme caution when using the trail, as it is expected that some areas may be vulnerable to collapse or have already collapsed due to the heavy rains.

Information on future road closures, etc. is posted under [Cautionary Information], so please be sure to check before walking. Please also check the Google Maps map of the area to see if there are any road closures.
