Send us your favorite photos from your time on the Michinoku Coastal Trail! Your submitted photos will be displayed on the photo gallery page, and once a year, our staff members will select photos to be made into a calendar.

The calendar will be given to Michinoku Trail Club members, and each person who submits a winning photograph will also be given a calendar. We are also considering selling a limited number of calendars on our online shop.

Schedule for 2024 calendar(beginning in April)
End of December: Deadline for submissions
Early February: Michinoku Trail Club selects the photos
Late February: Making printing calendar

Please keep the size of each image between 1MB and 10MB (JPEG format only) to ensure that the image quality remains high and does not become pixelated.

We only accept original submissions. (You can not submit with another person’s photograph)
How submitted photos are posted
Submitted photos are posted on the photo contest gallery page after being checked by Michinoku Trail Club.
About usage of submitted photos
We may use submitted photos without compensation in the ways listed below. Please make sure this is OK with you before submitting.
【How photos may be used】
  • In materials to promote the Michinoku Trail Club and/or the four prefectures and 29 municipalities along the MCT route.
  • Provided to media (websites, newspapers, magazines, social media accounts) within Japan and overseas
  • Used in materials for MCT users (website, social media, printed materials etc)
  • In other cases where Michinoku Trail Club decides the photo would be useful for promoting the Michinoku Coastal Trail and/or the prefectures and municipalities along the trail.

Michinoku Trail Club accepts no responsibility for any trouble or damages resulting from submitted photos. Note this includes portrait rights and copyright issues.
Ineligible photos
We will not post photos that we judge to be any one of the following: inappropriate photos, photos that can be considered to be commercial or solicitation, and photos that are libelous or a violation of privacy.
