[Advisory Lifted] The advisory for Possible Subsequent Earthquakes off Hokkaido and Sanriku was lifted at 17:00 today.

The tsunami advisory issued for the Aomori Prefecture, Iwate Prefecture, Miyagi Prefecture, Fukushima Prefecture, and Hokkaido was lifted at 23:45 yesterday. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, slight changes in sea level may continue for some time, so please exercise caution when hiking near the coastline.

If you are planning to hike the Michinoku Coastal Trail (MCT), please keep the following points in mind:

■ Check trail conditions on your own

When walking the MCT, hikers are responsible for checking the latest information issued by the municipalities along the trail and determining whether it is safe to proceed. Please also make sure to review municipal announcements and the latest advisories, and plan your hike accordingly without overexertion.
