『南部もぐり』とは、磯崎定吉を祖とする洋野町発祥のヘルメット式の潜水技術。
明治時代に洋野町に伝わり、100年以上続く今でも種市高等学校で伝統的な技法や技術が受け継がれています。
1日目は種市高等学校で南部もぐりの潜水体験をし、2日目はみちのく潮風トレイルの階上町ルート（階上岳の登山を含む）を歩きます。

“Nanbu Diving” is a diving method using helmets that originated in Hirono Town and was founded by Sadakichi Isozaki.
Helmet diving was brought to Hirono in the Meiji period (in the late 1800s specifically) and the resulting traditional Nanbu Diving techniques have been passed down at Taneichi High School for over 100 years.
On the first day, participants will experience Nanbu Diving at Taneichi High School, and on the second day they will hike the Michinoku Coastal Trail Hashikami route (including Mt. Hashikamidake)
Come experience diving and MCT hiking!
■ Dates
Saturday, October 16 to Sunday, October 17th. Two days one night. ※In case of rough weather, the backup schedule is Saturday, October 23rd to October 24th.

■ Who can join
Elementary schoolers, middle schoolers and other. People 145 cm tall or higher.

Applications open until Thursday, September 30th (applications will close when participant limit is reached)

※The event host will cover the cost of lodging, food and bus fees during the tour. Participants will need to pay for transportation to the initial gathering place.
