Following the official announcement by the Town of Otsuchi at 1:00 p.m. on May 29 that the forest fire had been extinguished, the section of the Michinoku Coastal Trail in Otsuchi has also been reopened to hikers.
Please note that detours have been established in some areas due to the risk of fallen trees. Before hiking, please check the latest safety information on our official website.

The Michinoku Coustal Trail is closed within Sujiyama Park becouse of dangerous trees.
