Soon, ten years will have passed since the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. Reconstruction has made great progress in the areas along the Michinoku Coastal Trail, which means that some places have changed from what they were like when the Michinoku Coastal Trail’s route was decided.
When the actual roads you’re walking differ from the trail maps and/or the GPX data/Google map information listed on our website, please follow local signage/guidance and the roads as they are now.
