The day before this photo was taken, I walked the Michinoku Coastal Trail from Fudai Station to the Kurosaki-so guesthouse where I stayed for the evening. I woke up early and walked over to the lighthouse, where I was privileged to see the sun rise over the vast Pacific Ocean.
