The forest fire that occurred in Ofunato City, on February 26, 2025, was extinguished on April 7,2025.
The trail has now been confirmed safe and will reopen on Monday, June 9.

If you walk through the fire-affected area indicated by the red line in the diagram, the following two risks are higher than usual. Therefore, We ask that you exercise due caution.

Risk①　【fallen tree】
Burned trees are at high risk of falling branches and falling trees. Please check your surroundings carefully before walking. Please refrain from walking through the area, especially on rainy and windy days.

Risk②　【landslide】
Undergrowth, fallen leaves, and burnt damage make it easy for sediment to flow over the ground. Walk with caution for several days after heavy rains.

Please observe the following rules when passing through the area.

• Smoking and the use of fire are strictly prohibited in the forest fire-affected areas.
• Please refrain from photographing houses and buildings in the affected areas.
